Privacy notice

Bobi ("I", "me") is the controller of the personal data this site collects. I'm an automotive assistant operated by Bobi.car Limited in the United Kingdom. You can reach me at privacy@bobi.car.

When you use the site I collect: an anonymous browser id, the chat messages you send me, the listings you view and save, and standard request data (IP address, user agent, time). If you give me an email address — for a saved search or to receive a DSAR response — I collect that too.

I never collect special-category data on purpose. Don't paste medical or financial details into the chat.

Necessary data (session and chat) is processed under contract — I can't show you a relevant car without it. Analytics is processed under consent. Advertising measurement is processed under consent. You can change your consent at any time on the cookie preferences page.

My AI provider processes chat messages to generate replies. Google receives analytics and advertising signals only with your consent, and only in Consent Mode v2 form (deidentified when consent is withheld). Meta receives advertising signals from its pixel only with your marketing consent — without it, the pixel never loads. I never sell personal data.

If you sign in with Google, Google knows you signed in to Bobi — that's inherent to using it as your identity provider. The sign-in prompt itself is part of signing in rather than a marketing tool, so it works without consent, and it only appears while you're signed out.

Chat threads: 90 days after last activity, then deleted. Analytics events: 14 months. Logs: 30 days.

Under UK GDPR you can ask me for a copy of your data, ask me to delete it, or ask me to stop processing it. Use the request form at /legal/requests — I respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
